Line Typeface
THE BRIEF
Inspired by neon tube signage Line follows a simple formula. No line should overlap or be broken. This formula facilitated some unexpected flourishes to avoid breaking the ‘rules’. For instance the swirl I have appropriated to express the dot of the exclamation and question mark.
The ‘tails’ of each letter are to allow the type face to be linked, creating text built on one continuous line, as a neon sign would link to allow the flow of electricity.
